PillarSoft Enhanced E & Enhanced EE Editors Beta v.05 Readme
You must have Rexx installed to run this program. Rexx is noramally part of the default installation of OS/2. If Rexx is not installed you must go to Selective Install and install support for it there.
If you haven't done so already, copy all the files from "PSEEExx.ZIP" (where "xx" is the version number) to the directory you expect it to reside in and run "install". This will setup the icons on the desktop with the proper settings, or...
Unzip PSEEE?.zip in a directory of your choice, drag a program template off its' pad, set the program path to Y:\our\path\EEE.EXE (or EE.EXE) and set the working directory to the same path.
EXAMPLE -
Path and file name "C:\BIN\TEXT\EEE\EEE.EXE"
Working directory "C:\BIN\TEXT\EEE".
IMPORTANT - If you want to drop files onto the EE or EEE icons for viewing the "Working Directory" must be set so the editor will not leave a new "Ini" file in the viewed object directory. You shouldn't need to change your config.sys as long as the files stay together in one directory and the desktop objects get set up properly.

I tried to make it as lean as possible and not change any of your setup. There is still a bunch of uneeded code in this thing but I haven't had time to clean it up. If you want it to be able to read a text file dropped on it from the desktop it must have a working directory listed in it's properties. If you need to, run the install program from the "EEE" directory and it will be setup for you.
The "Install" program can be run as many times as you want and it will not stack up folders or icons. It always replaces the old ones no matter where they are and puts them on the desktop. You may then drag them back to the old location if needed.
If you find problems PLEASE email me so I can address them. Some I may know about but there are bound to be others I don't know about. For example, I thought the print routines were fine, in fact, GREAT until I installed it on my other computer that doesn't have any printers setup yet and it choked trying to find printers. It was an easy fix but had to be fixed nonetheless. (yeah, right... I had to work that over a little more after I thought it was fixed. I think it's fixed now <grin>).
